Resolved Question: free (or at least very cheap) advertising?
I’ve been doing proofreading and editing for a few years, but only as an occasional favor. Friends have encouraged me to actually start charging people for it…I live in a college town, so there are plenty of thesis papers, essays, and other projects to proofread.
My Question is, what are some good avenues to advertise my services, either for free or for very little money? It’s only a part-time thing, so I’m not willing to dump a lot of money into it!
I already have free ads posted in local classifieds, and I have flyers posted on community bulletin boards all over town. I’m also going to post more flyers on campus, on bulletin boards within various college departments.
Any other ideas how I can “spread the word” cheaply?
